Allison + Joel Engagement Session!
Allison + Joel booked me over the winter for their wedding this coming fall. I’m not sure how many people know this about me but, there is nothing I love more then shooting engagement sessions.I believe engagement sessions are very important for countless reasons. I personally love them because I love having a chance to spend time and getting to know couples before the wedding. On the big day its nice to have already shot with my couples, because it makes everyone even more comfortable for posed photos on the wedding day.
One being because you have really cute photos to display at the wedding for friends and family to see. You can have guest books made with the images, save the dates, prints, you can use them in the programs, whatever you think of. I always ask couples when scheduling a E-session to chose a place that means something to them. Maybe where the proposal took place, first date, where you first met, or just somewhere you’ve wanted to go!
So when Allison and Joel told me they wanted to do photos at The High Line I was so excited. I had never been and I love going places i’ve never been. I was also ( kind of ) excited to be shooting at 8am. I am not a morning person. However, when I am awake early I LOVE the lighting.
So we woke up early and shlepped into the city for our shoot! We ended up meeting at this adorable Cafe ( Joe Chelsea 405 West 23rd street New York, NY ) {Across the street from the sketchy diner we were originally supposed to meet at} I chugged a coffee and we started our day!
So with that being said, go drink coffee at that place and walk The High Line.
Shooting Allison + Joel was more then fun and I just can’t even wait for their beautiful autumn wedding!
